Keep It Simple Stupid

I love receiving packages in the mail; it always feels like Christmas! When I saw this package arrive I was particularly pumped, it was my first sample album from KISS Wedding Books. KISS provides some of the most well-crafted classic albums around. They provide albums only to professional photographers, so you know they are not just another run-of-the-mill photobook company.

What I love most about KISS is directly conveyed through their name and slogan … less is more. They keep things simple. I’m a big foodie and one tell-tale sign of a bad restaurant is a giant menu serving everything under the sun. I’m a big sucker for restos that fit their entire menu on a chalkboard on the wall. Provide less options and do them WELL. That is what KISS is all about.

Here are some features KISS offers:

100% full-grain natural leather covers: The type that makes you grin when your fingers run across it. These covers are as simple as they get. No text, just buttery soft leather. It’s all about what’s inside. KISS books are not superficial; they are comfortable in their skin and full of confidence!

Lay-flat binding: my favourite aspect of KISS books. When I see a photo that makes me go WOW, there’s nothing like seeing it full-bleed across two pages with no fold. It transforms from WOW to WOWzers!!!! I can’t get enough of them. Sometimes bigger IS better. 😉

Photo paper printing: Photo paper can’t compare with press-printing. Photo paper provides smooth images without the pixelated dots from inkjet prints.

To see all my work put together to tell a story of two great people is very gratifying … but not as much as when I see the look on my couples faces as they turn that first page.
