Engaged! :: Teresa + Billy

Doing an engagement shoot in the winter can be difficult, especially when your fingers are already as cold as mine are, so when Teresa suggested we do a cookie baking shoot I was ecstatic! Sure Teresa said it jokingly at first, but my sweet tooth took over my mind and I couldn’t help but make it happen. Can you think of a better way to end a photo session than cookies and hot chocolate?

Some of the cookie cutters go back generations on Billy’s side of the family, along with his grandma’s sugar cookie recipe.

In between baking sessions we headed out to a nearby park for some more personal photos. This is where their personalities really came out.

It’s always great when the silliness starts to shine through. These two definitely are big jokers and Teresa likes to tease Billy about his geek-ness. Being a fellow engineer, I completely understand him.

Things got even crazier when we found a “special” playground. It had a unique design with an age requirement for each component. Some of the stuff looked really difficult to climb, I couldn’t even figure out what to do with a few of them. Teresa and Billy really let their inner youth run free.

Billy is currently pursuing grad school across the pond in London, so the winter holidays was the best time to get together. Although they live in Montreal, the wedding will be a small personal affair in Toronto. I can’t wait!
