3rd Annual ICRF “Taste for Life” at Le Cinq :: Benefiting Cancer Research
Events , May 29, 2014
For the second year I had the pleasure of covering the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) “Taste for Life” event. The ICRF New Leadership Division consists of young professionals volunteering their time to raise significant funds for finding a cure for cancer.
The annual Taste for Life event is a foodie’s dream. Featuring restaurants and businesses serving the most tantalizing dishes Montreal has to offer. This year’s vendors include the likes of Beaver Tails, Gros Jambon, Lester’s Deli, Moishe’s, Monsieur Restaurant + bar, Miss Pret a Manger, Ryu, Suwu, Twins Delight, Le Richmond, Swurl Frozen Yogurt, Squish, Sandy’s Cupcakes, Joverse, Sel Gras, Anabel, and more. This year it was held at the gorgeous Le Cinq with music provided by DJ Tiguru and DJ Adrien Malka.
Taste for Life was proud to honour Paul Kaylor. Diagnosed with non-seminoma testicular cancer at age 19, Paul put his dreams of becoming a doctor and studying abroad on hold to undergo treatment. With the loving support of his friends and family, and the innovative treatments made possible by cancer research, Paul is now cancer-free, and following his dreams of becoming an oncologist.
The night ended with a silent auction for a wide array of generous donors, including some autographed P.K. Subban merchandise!
