Nicole + Derek :: A Berkeley Church Toronto Wedding
Toronto Weddings , October 25, 2018
The last wedding of 2018. I’ve been looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint. What a way to close out the wedding season. N+D are incredible people who surround their lives with incredible people. I had a blast getting to know them during our adventurous engagement session so I knew I was going to have a blast at this wedding. However, I had no idea how gorgeous everything would be. The ceremony and reception was held at the Berkeley Church in Downtown Toronto. It was my first time at the venue and it was dream to shoot in. I’d be content shooting there year after year.
We had plans for the first look and photo session at an iconic Toronto location, but we just scrapped the idea because I found a stunning spot very close to where they live. They had no idea if the place would work, but I knew it would cut out a lot of travel time, reduce stress and provide much more variety for me to work with. They put their trust in me and it paid off immensely. I couldn’t have imagine a better location for a first look. A lady from the complex saw us and kindly gave us access to a rooftop patio. Everything just fell into place perfectly. The whole day was just perfect. Thank you N+D for putting your trust in me.
The Berkeley Church provided a beautiful atmosphere for the ceremony and reception. The candles and string lighting created an intimate ambiance that matched the roller coaster emotions from speech after speech. The Matt of The Taxi Band closed out the night with a killer dance party.
I apologize that this post might be a little longer than usual, but man was it hard to narrow down what photos to share!
Powerful wedding and beautiful couple. Nicely done!!
Beautiful storytelling James. Looks like a fun wedding.
