Angela + Janin | Crazy Love
International Weddings , November 21, 2011
Angela and Janin are one of a kind. I can’t imagine two people being more perfect for each other. Their quirky personalities came through during their engagement shoot, and only became more apparent throughout their wedding day. Like most of my couples, we first met at the local Starbucks. Angela introduced me to white hot chocolate (for which I am eternally greateful!). We chatted about travel, Inception (yes the movie), then eventually their wedding plans. It was clear that they were focused on throwing a very personal and intimate party with their family and friends … that’s exactly how it turned out.
I started out with Angela and her family at Rush salon, a great place to get ready in the West Island. Not too far away Richard joined Janin as he got ready and received a little surprise gift from Angela …. a Mustang rental for the day. The weather was temperamental, and Janin had to make the call on whether to proceed with the outdoor ceremony or not. He made the executive decision and it turned out great. It started to rain a bit and the winds picked up, but the clouds parted just enough to let the sun come out. I couldn’t be happier that Janin made the call to keep it outdoors, and I think they felt the same way.
The reception was held at La Vieille Brasserie, where A+J infused a lot of their character into the decor details, including a Caricature Artist for the guests.
Andy, you are my hero. That’s all I have to say about you. My hero.
Before the bouquet and garter toss, Angela was treated to a little strip tease from the guys ๐ …
… Janin received the same from the ladies …
… but the guys felt like Janin needed a little more teasing, haha …
Isn’t it awesome when the bouquet catcher and garter catcher are already a couple! *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*
Best wishes to two of the wackiest people I know! I’ve never been to a wedding where the crowd was so constantly active; it was clear that they all love you dearly and wish you the best.
