Lisa + Raph | Ice Storms & Engineers
Engaged , January 8, 2014
Anyone who’s a hockey fan knows about the fierce rivalry between Leafs and Habs. I was born and raised in Toronto currently splitting my time in both Toronto and Montreal. Talk about torn! I love both cities for their own individual uniqueness. So though I’m based in Montreal I ensure I get my Toronto time by booking at many Toronto weddings as possible.
Every holiday season we set aside 1-2 weeks in Toronto to spend time with friends and family. As Emma gets older and our friends have babies it’s even more important to squeeze in time to see as many people as possible while we are there. This Christmas not only did I get to squeeze in an engagement session with one of my future 2014 couples, I was also happy to do a session with my friends Lisa and Raph.
As two busy professionals, L+R, like most of us, don’t always get enough time to spend together. Life can get busy and time seems to fly by faster and faster. This photo session is a chance for them to focus solely on each other and get the bonus of capturing a special winter moment together as keepsake.
I know L+R from our engineering days, so it was only fitting to take some shots around our old stomping grounds. We headed to the University of Toronto campus and visited some of our old lecture buildings. It was a stroll down memory lane.
The previous few days was the big Ice Storm of 2013! It was a terrible time for some people who were without power. However, I was enamored with how awesome the trees looked. Talk about a winter wonderland. With glittering tree branches covered in ice it was like walking through a magical glass forest (or the fortress of solitude for geeks like me!).
