Manjari + Matt :: A Colourful Montreal Engagement

Engaged , December 7, 2014

I love to travel for weddings. Mountains. Beaches. Sand. I can’t get enough of it. Not long ago I was shooting in Canmore and I was in constant awe of the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. I felt like I couldn’t take a bad photo with mountains everywhere! However, my “travel high” started to settle down and I realized there are only so many photos of the Rockies one can take. I lost sight of how lucky I am to live in Montreal. It may not have any mountains (Mount Royal doesn’t count), but it has a great diversity of other important things. Culture, architecture, history, and a whole lot of character. Montreal truly is an amazing city.

For Manjari and Matt’s engagement shoot we took a brief stroll along one of Montreal’s colourful neighbourhoods: Le Plateau. In just a few short blocks we visited a bookstore, stopped by an xxx cinema, jumped on a forklift, sat on a toilet, kicked some leaves, sat under a rainbow, and saw a lot of graffiti and street art. That’s Montreal in an hour!
