Engaged! :: Botanical Gardens :: Janet + Louis

Not too long ago I took a trip with Julie and baby Emma to the Montreal Botanical Gardens. I instantly fell in love with the Chinese Gardens and couldn’t stop thinking about shooting an engagement shoot there. Naturally, I emailed Janet the next day and said, “Hey, I’ve got the perfect place for an eshoot.” She was pumped about the idea and so we made it happen.

Janet and Louis practiced their smiles for weeks. I’m not sure what the practicing consisted of, maybe jaw stretches or long sessions in front of the mirror, but I can relate. For the longest time my smile looked very unnatural. Julie always told me my best smile was when I was laughing, and so I perfect my technique. I just pretend to laugh at something whenever I smiled into a camera. I am told it works well 😉

Even with all the practice, Janet still had some jitters and Louis was still terrified of smiling. But I think the photos speak for themselves, they have nothing to fear! If you agree, leave a comment below to let them know how photogenic they really are!
